To use these tools, goto Start menu & select "Run" (or press Winkey+R
), type in the bold texts and press Enter (unnecessary explanation!)
- Character Map =

(very useful for finding unusual characters) - Disk Cleanup =

(save hard disk space by deleting unnecessary files) - Clipboard Viewer =

(appears to be an old NT utility to allow chat sessions over a LAN, help files available). - System configuration =

(can use to control startup programs, modify system settings. this is a most common tool used by admins) - Group Policy Editor =
gpedit.msc
(used to manage group policies, and permissions , very handy and easy to customise hidden system security and other settings)
